Education
Play Together Initiative organizes continuing education through trainings for trainers, mentoring, conferences, and other activities. The goal of our education is to empower young coaches, educators, youth workers to use sports as a method to promote equality, non-discrimination, and social inclusion. Our program is built on the expertise and experience of the Fairplay Initiative.
fairplay workshops
Fairplay workshops are a product of the educational program. All participants in the training for trainers apply the acquired skills in their work with youth. The workshops comprehensively connect sport and education. Through interactive methods, youth learns how discrimination affects not only on a personal level, but society. On the other hand, participants learn about the importance of solidarity, tolerance, diversity, and teamwork.
Mini - Van Tour
Every year we travel to towns and villages in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro to organize an educational and fun day for youth. We take over the main streets with street football, microsoccer (one-on-one game), fairplay workshops and DJ stations where they can play football, play music on a mixer, but also what is non-discrimination, teamwork, and solidarity.
Girls Football festival
"It's a girls game" is the slogan under which our partners, Fairplay Initiative organize a football festival for girls in Vienna every year. Play Together Initiative supports the festival through the organization of teams from the region: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. They play a tournament for three days, learn about solidarity, human rights, respect, fair play, and many other topics through football with other football teams from Austria. Participants of the festival also have the opportunity to make new friendships and get to know Vienna in an intercultural way.
Social Inclusion
We work on social inclusion of vulnerable members of the society through sports. The main goal of our activities is to connect especially marginalized groups (refugees and migrant of all gender identities, children without parental care) with all members of our society. One of the activities we did in cooperation with the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and with the Austrian Embassy in B&H is "The Orphans Cup". The main goal of the cup is the integration of children from orphanages through football. In addition to this, our team also conducts fair play workshops, trainings, matches on the topic of social inclusion.
Football tournaments
Football tournaments are part of our program with the main aim to network young football players. Teams have the opportunity to participate in regional and international tournaments. Regional tournaments have elements of our educational program- Through our cooperation with BAAP, we organize various European youth tournaments and as well as the final Champions Trophy.
